SGA attends political convention in New Hampshire

Several students from Capital Area Technical College (CATC), Baton Rouge, traveled to Concord, N.H., this past week for the New England College Convention. The students returned educated and engaged in the 2012 presidential race.

New Hampshire was one of the battle grounds for political candidates running in the 2012 republican presidential primary. New England College hosted a college convention that signified a civic engagement.

Members of Student Governments nations wide were invited to attend with 73 representatives from Louisiana, 10 being from Capital Area Technical College, Baton Rouge.
New England College held the convention to help students become enlightened and excited about our political process.

The ten CATC representatives who attended are Norman Brown, SGA Advisor, Shannon Singleton, SGA President, Gregory Ross, Vice President, Christy Mannino, Secretary, Constance Randall, Senator, Leroy Brown, Parliamentarian, Jason Floyd, Senator, Jessica Moore, JAG Senator and Devein Moore, JAG Representative.
